Last week i went to China once again... after being back for just one week. This time however, its with my parents on a family holiday to Guilin and Yangshuo to enjoy the scenery. Oh man.... it was one of the worse holiday trips. Firstly, the tour people were not very enthusiastic kind of friendly kind.... most were quite selfish and quiet people... thats why we were seated at the last row of the bus throughout the journey = bumpy uncomfortable rides for 8 whole days.

Then the scenic spots were super out-of-the-way kind.... the shortest was a 2.5hour ride in and 2.5hr ride back.... but the worse was the 5hr ride in and 5hr ride back just to see a waterfall for 1hr. Luckily the waterfall was quite majestic as there was a lot of water. Can you imagine the tour groups b4 us who travelled all the way there jus to see a stream of water flowing down as it was not raining and there was not enough water... or those who were there last week where it kept raining heavily preventing them from watching some open air cultural show (talk abt that later)... the travel time was jus too much.... and uncomfortable... worse still there was this little girl who was stuck to us and kept joining us at the back row, making it more sqeezy and no space to sleep at all.... grrr..... what more with those freaking morning call hours ranging from 5.15am to 7am which was the latest.... and everyday we reach the hotel at 9+... my god... u can imagine how tiring this trip was man.....

Then we paid extra $100 for optional tour which supposedly had 5 segments - 1. famous ballet cum aerobics display, 2. open-air mass display of a re-enactment of a very popular show last time - "liu san jie", 3. see a bird used to catch fish for the fishermen, 4. night scenery of Guilin and 5. a full body massage complementary of the optional tour.
The famous ballet cus aerobics display was ok only... they had very nice costumes though. The highlight was their toilet actually ahah... boasted to be 6 stars as there was alot of tv screens so that you won't miss wats goin on while you're in the loo.... but it wasn't all that fantastic lar. There was a screen frame in the floor when you walk in, then another one in the cubicle, a small screen that depends on your angle in order to view it... and the toilet wasnt decorated very nicely... so i think it was only worth 3 stars =x ...

The second show was a mass display created by the famous director - Zhang Yi Mou. However, i found it super borring ... yes the setting was really majestic as they used the really river and mountains as backdrop and the cast was 3000 people strong. However, it felt like watching a national parade mass display of lights only.... maybe we were too tired cos after awhile it jus got boring with no storyline to follow or understand what they were doing... so another boo hoo...

The third was alright as it was quite amazing to see the bird jus dive into the water and catch such a big fish... interesting but jus a short entertainment.

The forth was the night scenery which was not too bad lar... and the fifth: massage which was quite good. However overall, i think its not worth it at all....

And then, my camera jus died on the best part of the trip =x leaving us with the need to have photographic memories which i think will only last a month maybe hahah... had to rely on photo-taking service provided by the people there lor... they were lousy though and the photos turned out so-so only.,... they still boast that they are trained professionals wahahahha... like real...

Then you noe how china people behave right.... on the last day i was jus too pissed i actually shouted at them twice. Once was at the toilet cos those idiots jus cut queue lar... as if other people not urgent like that... stupid people... and the other time was when i was buying KFC at the airport... the stupid impatient man behind me kept making stupids noises to signify his impatients lar... so when i got my chicken, i jus said very loudly - " make so much noise for wat. So Noisy!" hahaha.... .say liao so shoik hahahah =P

Anyway the whole trip was jus lousy.... if you are planning to go on this holiday tour: Guilin, Yangshuo, Guangdong, Think twice!!!!

the world will turn WILD.
