Hmmm was looking for ah yat's website to file a feedback on my unpleasant eating experience at their Jurong newly opened outlet, however couldn;t find one at all hence i decided complain here!
I'm a regular patron of Ah Yat at Turf city and love their seafood a lot! however, yesterday i went to the one the Jurong (near the birdpark) and found out that all the food that we ordered (the same as Turf City) tasted much lousier~! The only common thing between the two outlets are that both has quite lousy service.
The steam fish at Turf was okie except that the sauce was not as nice, the eel dish was lousy cos at Turf city you eels that are fried till a little crispy and then in nice Kong Pau style with Cashew nuts. In Jurong: Soft eel with smelly sauce and peanuts!!! Grrr.r........... Then the frog (fried with ginger and onions) was so-so only.... the crab made me super angray too lar... I love the creamy pumpkin crab at Turf city as it is very fragrant and the sauce is perfect! However when they brought out the crab at Jurong, i couldn't smell a thing.... the sauce colour and texture din look right too! Terrible terrible terrible.........The place was okie, but i hated that they have air-cons that blast cold air onto the table lar....... c'mmon lar... how many pple like their chinese food cold... can't the restaurant pple get this.. super irritating........we requested for a change of seat but they said no and rather turn off the air-con instead. okie lor....
In conclusion, i'm not going to the Jurong outlet to eat again! But then again, their standard has not been consistent... Hope the chef at Turf city stays there please!
