Today is mommy's bDae!
Went to M Hotel in Tanjong Pagar to celebrate. We had the lunch buffet and surprisingly it was quite full even though it was a weekday afternoon.
The food was simply delicious!! For a person who dislikes raw food, i enjoyed the smoked salmon thoroughly cos it was not too salty and the sauce complemented the flavour very well! The sashimi and clam was very fresh too! The rest of the food was totally enjoyable as well with yummy tempura fried on the spot, flavourful dishes like the orange stewed duck and nice asparagus and smooth chicken texture of the chicken rice and okie cos the yummy chicken with mango sauce that was awesome but sadly we took the last 3 pieces and they didn't replenish it anymore.... the desserts were wonderful too! and the crab chowder soup left me wanting for more! even though the place was small and the choices were comparatively not so many, however if was just nice to taste all the flavorful food and not get too bloated.

Having been to this buffet, it makes places like sakura pale in comparison even though they have a much wider range of food that leaves you spoilt for choice. The food here is prepared quite exquisitely i would say and definitely worth the money. The buffet i had at *paris something (formerly ganghis khan) at takashimaya was really horrible... the standard of the food jus makes you feel that it is just prepared for the sake of serving the crowd... the chef does not put his heart into the food he makes... even simple things like fried nuggets was yucky.... don waste your money.... disappointment to eat at these kind of buffets that jus leaves you feeling bored and tired of the food even before you had your fill....

You might not noe wat is good buffet until you try the awesome ones!! so sometimes, do pamper urself and enjoy the buffets that hotels offer... they are way much better!!
